In 510, the Red Queen stole a locket of Jean Grey's hair from Logan, so yes, I meant her(Jean's) hair.

Do you mean her hair? If that is what you meant, just wanted to point out (^^; ) : She's a psychic ghost. She doesn't have hair. Her actual body was cremated.

Thunderbird, I just thought about it ,and I said in the other thread to. The Red Queen never refers to herself as Madelyne, nor do her sisterhood. It may very well be that she's a fragment of the Phoenix/Jean Grey, and if that's the case and if the cover to UXM 511 is true, then that issue is the return of Jean Grey. If the Red Queen was Maddie, I think she's take that her and clone herself a new body. The fact that she wants to be put in the original body makes me think maybe...

Well, it looks like the Red Queen really does want to place herself in Jean's body and if she does so she will be the Phoenix.

Actually, if you reread the X-Men issues around Inferno, at times Maddie has the Phoenix effect in the iris in her eyes. When the Genoshan telepath went to far into Maddie's mind, he saw her as a little girl who was sick but got better. She then transformed into a flaming bird of fire and then to the Goblin Queen. Maddie had a PORTION of the Phoenix. She wasn't the full Phoenix. As for the Red Queen, I doubt she will become the Phoenix. Jean is the true Phoenix. However, upon creating...

I think I might have an inkling of what she meant, now, PG. It just kinda popped into my head, lol. Maddie might have meant that she had hoped that Scott and the X-men would attack her and her allies at their base all the while she snuck into the mansion and stole the piece of Jean's hair right out from under their noses. But, when Scott didn't do that she had to formulate another plan of attack. (Geez, I didn't think of that until after the fact.... Yikes. I'm losing...

Agreed! Just the way they stylized her dialogue lettering is more proof. It's the same way they did it in Endsong, and similar to how it's been done whenever Jean/Phoenix speaks....

I think we might be over thinking this just a tad. There are other possibilities worth exploring, but none of them make as much sense. Again I don't think Jean will be in the next issue, but to me, there is no way of denying that Jean appeared in 510. I actually can't wait for the next issue. I would love to see Emma's explanation or lack there of if Jean is mentioned

SPOILERS

jean makes a cameo in this issue. when emma frost is incapacitated by lady mastermind, jean appears to her from what i assume to be the white hot room as a hazy, naked spirit and frees her from lady m's influence. oh, and maddie ends up escaping with what she wanted from logan: a box containing a lock of jean's hair.
