Some more thoughts...
Supposedly, this whole run is supposed to tie together into one giant arc, like Perez's Wonder Woman and Gaiman's Sandman. So, we can look for clues as to what's connected this run. Have you noticed how who seems to be Jean's arch nemesis, Sublime, has been involved in literally every storyline to one degree or another?
We started with "E is for Extinction", and Cassandra. The X-Men found evidence connecting Cassandra to Sublime, and set out to investigate.
This brings us to "Germ Free Generation", where we meet Sublime for the first time. It seems to be the last. In retrospect, it would seem Sublime knew exactly what he was sending the U-Men into when the "uppity redhead".
Sublime dies (or DOES he?), and we move on to the showdown with Cassandra in "Imperial", but we still don't know what her connection to Sublime was, or her possible connection to Vargas (Remember him, Mr. "I'm the first of a new species"?).
Next, it's Weapon Plus, who, we later learn, is run by a "Dr. Sublime", who appears to be a different person than the first Sublime we met. Then, it's off to Genosha to pick up Naked Lorna, then the Shi'ar start talking about Jean disinfecting the planet.
After that, it's the Riot. Kick has infected the School. But, where is it coming from? Then, we go to destroy Weapon Plus, and encounter, and supposedly blow up, "Dr. Sublime".
Then, it's Magneto. But, he's CRAZY! Um, well, crazier than usual. There may be a connection to Sublime, again, but no one figures out what's going on before Manhattan is destroyed and the space/time fabric is ripped apart, leading us to Here Comes Tomorrow.
It'd be strange if this entire run ends up mainly being about Jean finding her place in the Universe. We have a lot of questions to be answered. Who, and what, is Sublime? How long has he been Hank? Is this something that happened during these last 150 years, or has he been Hank for a while, now? Was Hank always this, or is he just possessed? If the latter, when? Was it when he got further mutated? If so, BAD Sage, BAD, accidentally infecting Hank with an evil entity like that (spanks Sage). Of course, it was Vargas who put Hank in that condition in the first place...
If it DOES involve the circumstances of Hank's recent mutation, then EVERYTHING in the X-Men, right now, starts with Vargas in some way. If Betsy's involved in this Bogan situation, who started that? Friggin' Vargas. He probably has something to do with those damn werewolves and that Draco business
