actually, I don't think that's a stupid guess at all, I think it makes sense. Sublime has to appear at some point, and that's reasonable to think that the serium triggered his transformation (something probably had to, right?)

Ok, I'm going to tie 1602 into this again, but in 1602 they said something 400 or so years in the future created some sort of machine and sent something back to 1602 that disrupted the flow of things. When reading here comes tomorrow, it seems like sublime/beast is the something that would make this machine, and his jean/phoenix/egg would be the forerunner, the thing fueling, etc. But....if he did it from the Here comes tomorrow setting, that would be quite a few more than 400 years.
So....what if everything went all to hell in the fight with mags (and what resulted after)? Including 1- mags death 2- pheonix's "cosmic stroke" and death (that seemed to have ripped time/the universe.) and 3- cyclops leaves the team 4- esme dies 5- fantomex dies 6- beast getting his dosage.

All of these events seem to effect the universe in Here Comes Tomorrow in one way or another, this is the event and time peroid that started the "something isn't right in the universe." Maybe Beast/Sublime travels back and does something to the phoenix egg (throws it to 1602?). I don't know, that's really outlandish and has a lot of holes,

But I really think a lot of things happend during that fight that didn't go down like they were suppose to. Like the cuckoos said, the whole issue just didn't feel right.

(Edited to fix the thread's proportions.)
