Wow, I've been trying to remember all of my costumes...I never really did the box costumes because back then, my family didn't have the money...although I remember vaguely that I had a box costume one year.
In no particular order,
Cheerleader (My mom actually sewed this costume...I was maybe 3 or so years old, and I looked cute!
)
Princess (I remember spending about 4 months worth of allowance on a 30 dollar rhinestone crown)
Angel (I had little silver wings)
Barbie (The box costume. I remember a mask)
A schoolmarm (wierd year, I know)
Statue of liberty (This was the last year I dressed up and went trick n' treating. I was 14...my headdress was the best, a foot from the crown to the points!
I kind of wish i could have gone all silver from head to toe, but my wallet was too thin.)
I can't remember any more costumes, but I havent dressed up since I was 14 years old, although I did pass out candy and carve pumpkins. Oh, my family made great pumpkins!
We've done everything from bats to cats, witches, letters spelling out our family name, and we would set the three or four pumpkins out on our walkway and decorate the whole yard with limerick spouting gravestones, with fake hands clawing their way out. We also draped the walkway with army camoflauge and replaced the door light with a green bulb, and hung fake cobwebs. One year my dad hung a scarecrow in the walkway from a noose....and another year, my father was the scarecrow. He would sit still and limp in a chair with a bowl of candy, and scare the heck out of any kid who reached in. Hehe
