Ok, that was a mouthful, but I love the concept! I didn't read it all thoroughly but I think I see your point. I couldn't conceive of Jean getting any biofeedback from utilizing telekinesis -- what physical part of her body would register the feedback, know what I mean? Say if she were to levitate a chair, she'd know how much to concentrate by gauging the height of the chair as she affected it.

But what you're saying is that as a mutant with these "abilities", she's also equipped with senses that develop along with the active aspects of her power. So detecting another presence in the room is not necessarily a textbook definition (haha, no such thing) of telepathy, but it's a "sense" that she's come to develop as a byproduct of being so gosh darn powerful.

Similarly, perceiving physical motion, even out of her line of sight, should be among her senses. So in that chair example, she would actually sense the weight of the chair. I didn't want to accept this possibility, but I think it's the only way it'd all make sense.

In trying to understand how a shield would work, at one point I imagined that she would effect some sort of repulsion field. You put that concept into words so well, Nick! One thing I wonder about, though, is that if she were to generate this pulse blinded and indiscriminately, she'd have to put 100% effort into a burst to repel lamps, bullets, trucks, etc. This is assuming that the more intense the concentration, the stronger the result. What do you think?

Sorry, if I pretty much regurgitated what you said Nick, but I was so excited! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
