Well guys and gals, i am glad you liked it, but i most likely wont see it on the 26th as i have family commitments, so it looks like it will be the 27th for me, but i dont mind - when you wait a year for a movie one more day isn't hard to do.
Anyway, Meg, here are those things you weren't sure on.
The Elf from Lorien is Haldir.
The sword that was broken is Narsil, and when reforged it is Anduril (PJ has moved this to the thrid film i beleive).
Uruk-hai.
Shelob is indeed the spider, a decendant of Ungoliant - an even bigger spider.
And it is Edoras that is on the hill, not all of Rohan, and it is on a hill for strategic defence reasons - or so i have read.
And Meg, just to clarify the Eowyn/Aragorn/Faramir triangle, i refer to the third book 'The Return of The King', and in particular the chapter 'The Steward and The King', in specific the pages 937 to 944. It explains what i meant and mean more than my words can. One of my favorite chapters of all.
