What do i mean about beleiving in alternate interpretations only where they are valid? Well i guess i mean that in regards to texts that are left open - by design or by fate - to interpretation by the reader. Texts that are not open to interpretation includes ones where the author has stated (either in the actual text or in another source) the meaning of a given text/passage and what they intented, or texts that are stylisticly not open to interpretation, either being that the meaning is clearly given oin the text or that it is written so that no clear interpretation can be obtained from it.
But i guess on some level i disagree with the interpretations of others when they come into conflict or are of a contrary nature to my own interpretation of the material. There is no decent reason for that, that is just the kind of person i am - unfortunately. I do try though.

ps - i was on late to check my Uni results for this semester. :)
