Hey, that's something I hadn't considered. Think of all the girlfriends who are waiting to be in the "bridal" party of their gay friends' weddings! Mean old politicans are keeping these poor gals from fulfilling their duty! Good point, lild1! :p

Vistiation rights, inheritance rights, etc. It's stuff you would normally take for granted until you realize that, legally, you have no part in the life of the person you love anymore than a passing stranger would have. However... have gays and lesbians been kept from seeing their partners in hospital more so by family memebers or by hospital administrations? It would seem that family would be the biggest neighsayer. Having a legal status would mean a partner could not be kept away by family who disapprove of the relationship.
