"As for the sugar daddy scenario...It's true you meet guys who are looking to become "a kept man," but I don't think that's the overriding behavior for gays. There are straight women and men who act as such, but that doesn't make all heterosexuals greedy opportunists."

Well, we do have a 60% divorce rate. According to something I saw on this religious network, the biggest cause for divorce is financial related reasons!

In the fairy tales, Snow White and Cinderealla got Prince Charming, not a Black Smith! So they were looking for sugar daddies. Prince Charming may have been young and handsome, but he was still a sugar daddy. I can see Snow White saying, "oh, Prince Charming, you're sucn a nice man. You're as sweet as sugar!"

As for your female friends how many of them would want a guy who is on welfare, or who is working at McDonalds. Ask them how many of them would be impressed by a guy who has a nice car, buys them jewelry, can afford to take them out on dates, and vacations.

It's like they say, "You'll end up paying for it one way or the other!":b :rollin :lol 8)

I'd argue that gay men in many ways will take this to a new level. Not because they are money hungry, but because gay men and men, and tend to do things differently than women.

Two men don't have kids together, and are not going to try to work things out for the kids, or stay together for societal pressure reasons!

Also, keep in mind a lot of straight couples do stay togehter long term because of financial reasons. Divorces can be expensive, and how would pay the notes on that car, or the mortgage on the house, without your spouse unless you were totally loaded with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!
