Kyla - I thought it was some kind of unwritten rule that a bridesmaid's dress has to look "ugly" to make the bride herself look all the more beautiful. Maybe it's just the pose of the model ("Is that Fenix?!" I thought for a sec!) but your dress looks like it would've been speaking up at the "Or forever hold your piece" part of the wedding. "Psst! Groom! Ditch the witch in white and come play with pretty in pink!" ;)

Bard - Fiancial reasons are the biggest cause of divorce of in America? People who I've met that have divorced usually say "the spark was gone" or their partner cheated on them and they couldn't forgive/forget. No one mentioned financial hardship as a deciding or ultimate factor, but maybe they didn't want to mention it at the risk of sounding materialistic and shallow. Actually, doesn't divorce incur financial hardship? People should want to stay together to avoid costly alimony and child support payments.

Financial stability is something people look for in a mate, but I don't think that makes the leap into Sugar Daddy territory. People don't want to end up living on the street, but that doesn't mean it's Beverly Hills or bust. I guess it depends on what level of "comfort" a person has in mind.

My best friend once dated a girl who eventually broke up with him because he didn't make as much money as she did and so he couldn't "give her stuff". Now this woman was a lawyer making some nice dough, apparently, and yet she wanted someone even more financially successful than her.

Of course, by your example, "Snow White" marries "Prince Charming" because he has the summer castle in the country, but will eventually cozy up to "The Smithee" to satisfy her need for coarse earthy lovin'. The Dwarves are her cover story and must always lie to Charmy about Snowy's whereabouts. "She was with us digging for diamonds!"

Oops...or maybe digging for gold?
