Fenix - What a mix of films! From mobsters to Vietnam, you run the gamut!

I remember seeing "War of the Roses" with my "girlfriend" back in high school. (Yeah, that poor girl went home that night having seen a good movie, but having got no action!) It's funny how there are some similarities between the Roses and Scott and Jean.

A southern sweetheart who like "Steel Magnolias"? Why, I've never heard of such an animal. :p (I like it quite a lot myself, actually. Sally Field is so fierce and Shirley McClaine is a riot.)

Msgt - Clockwork is a weird film that exists in a genre all of its own. Nothing before or since has been comparable. I'm not the biggest Kubrick booster, but he certainly said things in sublime and horrible ways. I've only seen Clockwork once, and I doubt I'll view it again soon because it left such a dark strong impression on me to begin with. (I retreat to the candy-colored world of Hollywood Happy Endings where the Good Witch shows the path to salvation and loving arms await the heroes at home.)

Some "dark" movies that I like to watch...

1. Last Night (Terrific Canadian film. See it if you can!)
2. Moulin Rogue
3. Alien (Ripley lives, but that's about it!)
4. Picnic at Hanging Rock
