Meghan,

Yes, I am a musician. I play the Bb clarinet and sing in a small chamber choir as a baritone.

Link,

I am originally from Chicago; I got my Bachelors degree from Cornell College.

Bard,

You said "In the US, the sectors of this country that are the poorest and least educated tend to be the most religious." I would argue that this is not completely accurate. One could argue that many right-winged conservatives are extremely wealthy and religious; they certainly do not live in low-income housing. Conservative activists campaign for change, because some variable is contradictory to their Judeo-Christian morality. That is what is happening here. In the cloning debate, people (mostly Christians) are afraid of cloning human beings, because to do so places God's reputation as the "creator of man" in jeopardy. Consequently, we as humanity can create a so called conscious, and this may render God's existence as useless. Is that accurate? I don't have the answer to that, nor would I attempt to answer that. However, I do find it interesting that people debate evolution. If God is the sole creator of life, then explain the single-cell organisms on Mars ((they live (or have lived) in Mar's limited water)). Those single-cell organisms are the beginings of evolution on Mars; they are the begining of some form of life. What are we supposed to believe? In addition to making man on Earth, God decided to create the simple celled life on mars for the hell of it?

I don't think so...
