My education is in Biology and Psychology; this comprises genetics, chemistry, and many biopsychosocial theories surrounding psychology. Simply, what if I were to inform you that every thought, every physical reaction, every emotional reaction, your personal identity, the way you view the world, and the way you think are the results of sodium [NA ] and potassium [K] ion reactions on the millions of neurons in your brain. For example, when you open your eyes, light flows through your eye lens, activates the chemical rhodopsin, and allows images in your view to fall on your retina. This rhodopsin chemical attaches to neurons in your brain, alters its chemical balance, and causes an emotional reaction to be associated with that specific image. Your brain then records this imbalance and, consequently, records the image/emotion association. Now, whenever you see the same image, your brain can free-recall past experiences with that same image. Any emotion you associate with the image is also recalled, because the original influx of neurotransmitters associated with the image are also recalled.

Pretty scary right? I mean, basically, this means we're all just carbon and water molecules adapting to the environment's demands. What's true of basic single-celled organisms is also true of us. They evolve, and we evolve. Morality will never be able to stand in its way.
