OK, the Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion? What? One can not scientifically study religion. That is impossible. I suppose the journal could do an exhaustive qualitative review, but not a controlled quantitative review; The entire field of religion is comprised of secondary sources. Also, the AP is not peer reviewed.

As far as the survey's mentioned, all they did was give arbitrary percentages. For example, when the AP says "30%", one should ask "What was the sample population? Where was the survey conducted? What questions were asked?"

You can't just site a newspaper article and expect it to back up your stereotype.
