Viven Leigh? Come back to us, Fenix, come back! :lol ;)

Lynda Carter pretty much became Wonder Woman in the eyes of the world. Beautiful, athletic, charismatic...all the traits you want to see in Big D...and will not be easily replaced in fans hearts by some Janey Come Lately. (Lynda hopefully can be persuaded to appear as Hippolyta in the movie. Or is that too stunt casting-like?)

The actresses mentioned have some of the traits but not all of them or just not in the right mix.

Lucy Lawless is terrific, but somehow her donning the red, blue and gold would seem like a parody if only because of her great performance as another Warrior Princess.

CZJ is beautiful and talented, but I can't picture her running around fighting supervillians and being able to keep a straight face. She's got the energy, but not the drive. She does great vamps and even historical heroines, but a comic book superheroine might be too much. (Catherine would actually make a delicious Circe for Diana to fight!)

Sandra Bullock would be better as Donna Troy, Wonder Woman Lite as Lois Lane snarked. Take away poise and grace and replace with sugar and enthusiam.

Jennifer Lopez...Uh...no comment! ;)

Victoria Pratt...hmm...a definite maybe. She'd have to dye her hair is all. Woman Woman can be any enthnicity, I feel, but making her a blonde is just...wrong! (I admit it. I'm prejudiced against blondes! Hey, I used to have blonde hair so go figure that quagmire out!)

So obviously the only choice left for the role is...Famke!!!

:eek :rollin :eek

No, I kid, I kid. Famke is fine as Jean, but not right for Diana.

I can't think of any popular actress right now that would be right to wield the magic lariat. Perhaps some unknown young lady? (By young I mean mid twenties, not Hillary Duff and company!) Wasn't Lynda Carter an unknown before she found fame as Wondy? I realize movie studios rarely if ever would cast unknowns in such a big role, but so far no one seems the perfect fit for the Amazon.

Actually, I was about to dis on Halle Berry being cast as Catwoman, but it just occured to me that Angela Bassett, who was my dream choice for Storm, would make for a good Wonder Woman. She's got the talent, the beauty, and the athleticism necessary for the role.
