Meghan;

It's okay. The little guy/gal probably wanted to be out of the cold (or smelled food somewhere), but understand where you're coming from.

W/regard to that piece of $&&#*%* Phoenyx7777 is talking about. I'll say this for all to share. What a neat group of people here on this board. I was a little nervous coming on this board because I've seen all kinds of unhinged souls saying and doing junk on other boards that for the grace of God, go I. I've seen some tough discussions here and there, but none of the vile things I've seen elsewhere.

But to just about all of the JGMB's I've seen, all of you rock! Meghan, I'm glad the creep you're talking about is (hopefully) nowhere to be seen.

MSGT: OMG! 2001 is my absolute favorite all-time film. Let's just say I was a REALLY YOUNG lad when I saw it, put out at the height of the space race. When you're a little more than a toddler, it can affect your life forever. Stanley, may you rest in peace, what a beautiful movie.

About talking about substance abuse (legal or illegal). Don't do anything to encourage it. I'm not a prohibitionist, but from correctly identifying the bullies in the nation that have done so much to make the world a worse place to live, another part of the problem is substance abuse and the effect and particularly its legacy on abusers families and loved ones. I think people forget we are all inter-connected.

my wife, the other red-headed power incarnate in my life, was a public school teacher for a time. She did her best to lead by example. But she did what you do, listen and pay attention to the students. Sounds like you are well on your way to being a good teacher. In the end, my wife found herself having to choose either put up with administration and bureaucracy, or be a good teacher (BTW--I mentioned this in a previous post, one of her former students was none other than Veronica Mars herself--Kristen Bell!!!)

All y'all are neat folk (QueenGusty, there's some southern American for you--although Rogue's dialect would be called "lower class" by gentry). Sadly in the United States there is a great drive to remove the southern accent by many striving ahead in business (as if the rather nasal southern Michigander/Northern Ohio accent is any better). This is also true for the "Yooper" accent for Upper Peninsula Michiganders, Wisconsinites, and Minnesotans; the Bostonian (and NYC) Irish dialects, even the Jersey accents.

America is blanding itself to death but I digress.

:darkphoenix: "Just you wait, Henry Higgins, just you wait!!!"
I'm in love with the little red-headed girl!
