A friend and I were just talking about the terroist warning.
The thing I found the most odd and extremely frightening about his speech was when he was rattling off countries that needed to be freed. I thought any second he would say something about freeing the opressed peoples of China and we'd be bombed to hell in a few hours. It was if he was planning another war to get in on as soon as we get out of Iraq. He is force evolving cultures faster than they can cope. The people have to want to change and ask for help before you can give it and even then not only should they be asking for help they should have their own plan on how things will work after they are "free." That is why this war is dragging out not enough of the people wanted it enough. I know its easy to say but looking at all the countries with power now that is exactly how they had to get to "this" level. India is the most recent example of a country finding its own. Its people are not at our level yet but a few more decades and they will be well on their way. Bush really didn't mention anything that we the public didn't already know. It was a big show, to show how uncoopertive the democrats were being in getting his infalable(sp) bills past.
Bush also mentioned the United States leading the world. I cringed at this thought. Its fine if everyone knows we do by default but to declare it like that publicly is just asking for all these small countries we want to liberate to pull what little armed forces we have apart. The arrogance of the United States. WWIII here we come and
the
bomb will be dropped somewhere no matter how much people talk of not doing it.
On a lighter note did anyone see the faces Hilary was making as Bush droned on? ROFlol I was just waiting for her to jump down there and b*%ch slap some sense into him.
