Yeah...I don't understand how anyone can say a red-headed telepath/telekinetic girl with green eyes, the fiery aura, imagery, names and costumes of a previous character is not a rip-off and replacement. Just because they acknowledge the fact that Ravhel is a direct rip of jean does not mean that makes it okay. A rip-off does not necessarily have to denounce the fact that it's derived from something else.

And if Rachel is so independant from Jean, how come the only time she ever had a name or costume or use that hadn't belonged to Jean first got erased so she could go back to being Jean lite? Maybe because her character can't survive without leeching off of what Jean's character has already established? No? Then let's see them prove me wrong and do something original with her that doesnt involve something that was already explored with her mother.

And all this talk about Rachel being Jean's daughter. Really? I never read a comic book where Jean Grey was pregnant or gave birth. If she's dead now, I don't see how she can ever give birth to anything, so who is this thing running around calling Cyclops and Phoenix her parents? If she's so worried about honoring her mother, maybe she should go back to her own universe and honor her actual mother, not an alternate reality version of her that never stays dead.

And where did Jean ever tell Rachel to take her costumes and codenames? All I remember was Rachel hallucinating a horridly dressed apparition out of a necklace. I've never seen jean walk up to her and tell her "I'm glad you come around whenever I'm dead and try to pretend to be me because you suck too much to think up something on your own to do. I'm ever so proud that my baby daughter has no individuality or originality and her only means of survival is to whine that I'm dead and ruin my good name. God bless the day I never gave birth to you."

He deserves Paradise who makes his companions laugh.
