Thanks for correcting me PhoenixFall. Sorry I wasn't clearer. I never meant to imply that Emma actually 'merged' with the Phoenix. Not in the way it merged with Jean. I guess I should have used different words. Sorry. My bad!

But yeah, I do think that Jean has had a major impact on Emma regardless of whether or not a piece of her exists inside her. I've noticed that since Morrison's run, Emma's been acting more and more Jean-like and Whedon has kind of run with that. One could argue that Emma has taken Jean's place, given that she's the primery psychic, the headmistriss of the Institute, and Scott's love interest. And it does show in her personality, at least to some extent.

But I doubt that this is the result of Jean truly having a piece of herself inside her. That would explain a lot like why she's acted the way she has, why Scott feels so strongly for her, and why she's connecting with certain team members like Rachel. And come to think of it, it would explain why she was kissing Logan in that cover art since that's something Jean's been known to do plenty of times. But I seriously doubt that's the case. It would just make too much sense for Marvel's liking. I think it's definitely something more in terms of an identity crisis since that would definitely make things more complex and flexible.

:emma: Of course that's just your opinion, slickboy. You could be wrong.
