Jean attended Metro college during the original years, Uncanny X-Men #24-#48. This is where she met Ted Roberts. Johnny Storm also went to Metro College at this time.

In X-factor #5 Jean was shown to have been taking night classes in advanced psychology at Columbia. She expressed an interest in getting a degree in psychology. Since she had went to Metro College during the original years and was taking advanced classes at Columbia perhaps she was working on her masters. However, Warren mentions that she would be getting a B.A. in Psychology.

I found this summary of Uncanny X-men 48. It says that Jean completed college at Metro. If anyone can confirm this that would be great.

Quote:
Uncanny X-Men #48 (September, 1968 ) revealed that Jean had completed her college education and found employement as a model. Her first assignments were swimsuit presentations. Uncanny X-Men #49 (October, 1968 ) had the X-Men regrouping to face Mesmero. Jean was at the time introduced to new female associate Polaris. They would soon become friends. In Uncanny X-Men #54 , Jean was also introduced to a family member of Cyclops, his younger brother Alexander Summers who was just graduating from college. He would soon serve with the X-Men as Havok.

So perhaps Jean has two undergraduate degrees or an unspecified undergraduate degree with some credits towards (if not fulfillment of) a psychology undergraduate or graduate degree.
