If no one know what you want, how are they going to change? Will saying nothing change things?

The bottom line is $$$, of course. The question is, how do you effectively change the direction a trademark holder is using that trademark (which Jean Grey/Phoenix is in the end). Once that direction is no longer lucrative, or perceived as less lucrative than another direction (perhaps never thought of, which could be entirely true given the lack of diversity on decisionmakers in Marvel Entertainment Group), then change can be made.

I look at the "bring back Jean" campaign, (one could argue she'll never be truly "gone") as an ongoing effort. I encourage everyone to contribute as they've been, or even greater if they are so inclined.

Enthusiasm can be another factor.
