Given the extreme lengths Marvel has gone to in order to not only keep Jean Grey dead, but make her unnecessary I find 2013 to be just another year of worthless hope. Just look at what they've done. They've murdered Jean's entire family in End of Greys. They pretty much ignored Phoenix Endsong, almost to the point where they ignore what Jean Grey's own official bio says. Furthermore, they've created a complete replacement character in Hope Summers. She looks like Jean. She dresses like Jean. She has the Phoenix Force like Jean. And she acts like Cable, who was raised by Jean. Marvel has officially made Jean Grey irrelevant and unnecessary. Name one other character they've done that for over the years. I can't think of one. It says to me that editors like Brevoort are utterly against the idea of bringing Jean Grey back and will go to any lengths, no matter how asinine, to make it so they don't have to. At this point, I think any hope Jean fans have is worth about as much as any corpse fictional or otherwise.
