I have been too dispirited lately to comment much and thus dropped into lurker mode.   I am finally Prairie Dogging to say:

I am a huge JG fan like everybody else on the board. However,  I have been throwing cold water for six or seven years now on "She's coming back this year! Or in next summer's big crossover event.  Probably Definitely!!  Because Marvel, like, kinda, sorta of hinted maybe so in a throwaway comment from any random posted  character/editor/fanblog found on the internet."

I got tired of being a wet blanket.

A couple of years ago,  despite my better judgement, I had a ray of Hope (bleh) during the Cable series when Hope, being a total Jean Doppelganger by the series end, displayed telepathy, telekensis and a Phoenix raptor.   I mean ....  come on, Marvel staff swore  "It's Super Duper Significantly  Important that she's got red hair and green eyes so buya buncha issues!!!!

Like another fansite (Comic Book Resources ) recently observed

The idea of the Phoenix Force getting retconned into K'un L'un was weird enough, but when "New Avengers" #26 brought some baggage from Jonathan Hickman's "SHIELD" series along, things went from ridiculous to sad. There's virtually no characterization here, no sign of the actual characters you expect in this series, essentially just putting forth the idea that gingers are superbly powerful.

I agree with everything you said.

Sorry man, not a gamer. So Jean in a game, or not, I don't care.

But on the bright side, Jean is still in AOA and the Ultimate Universe.  So, y'all,  if it's Jean that you care about, quit spending money where she isn't and spend your money where she is.
