Hey guys,
Just wanted to brag since I went to the Lit/American Hi-Fi concert tonight...just got back in.
I had a blast. Both bands were better than what I was expecting (I was expecting something more like "pop" but it was actually good ol' rock music.
) Oh, the opening band was Moscow Dynamo (They were more like a "punk" band so I felt they were "eh.")
American Hi-Fi was sooooooooooo much better than I was expecting. They played a great set, but I'm sad to say I can't remember the title of the songs as I'm not a huge AHF fan...But I do know they played "Flavor of the Week" two times because we wanted to hear it again (once at the beginning and once during the end...they said this was the first time they were asked to play it twice! lol But it is a great song live)...the second time they played was much better than the first...they added an awesome guitar solo.
Now to Lit. They were simply amazing. This band was the only one of the three to actually interact with the audience. The lead singer came out in the seats and gave out high fives...but I wasn't that close
But considering I was about 25 feet away from the stage [and members of the band
] through out the show I am still VERY happy.
Anyway, they played a lot of NEW songs that will appear on next years album, the singer said due out in March. But they did play "Over My Head," "Miserable," "Quicksand," and closed with an excellent live version of "My Own Worst Enemy."
Just a side note...American Hi-Fi's lead singer was talking to the audience, asking us what we liked...and...said, "Do you guys want to hear some 'Free bird'? How about some Creed? Well, we're not a Creed cover band...and we're not good at covers."
Why did he do that to me? Why did he need to tease me like that?
lol, I was so excited when he said they would cover Creed!!! grrrrr...but they did give a great preformance, so I can't complain.
Not that this was bad, but it wasn't (IMO) as good as Creed.
Since Creed was my first ever concert, I doubt anything will compare to them (besides, they had pyrotechnics!
lol) in the near future. And Creed is my fav. so...I guess you can say I'm biased.
lol

We may rise and fall
But in the End
We meet our fate together
