Quote:
Ed Brubaker in this month's Wizard said he's set out to "...create a Magneto level villain," which is certainly a challenging task but also something I'm very open to. Ed's been hitting homeruns with his Captain America work so I have high expectations for Deadly Genesis. This month's Wizard issue also has a preview to the book which looks very promising and good.
From what I've seen, the character has the power to look into memories and nightmares and make them appear real. Sort of a mix of Dani Moonstar and Scarlet Witch because he creates an image of Jean Grey and lures Rachel into a trap as well as Brubaker stating that he creates the original mob scene from Nightcrawler's origin to freak him out. On top of that he seems to have telekenisis (waves away Cyclops's optic blasts like nothing), and strange lightning/fire powers among the yellow glowing eyes.
