John C loves Phoenix |

I agree with those who said the phoenix image is just Jean's power... I doubt she's "giving" Emma anything other than help.

I'm surprised no one has asked about this yet, but, if Jean is still in The White Hot Room, who the hell is Hope?

What he's asking is, If Jean is still in the White Hot Room, then who is Hope. Hope the little red-haired, green-eyed girl who's currently in the
Messiah War, the one that people are assuming is Jean Grey reborn. My guess, is that Hope is just a piece of Jean that was scattered to the real world, just
as I think "Madelyne" is. I read somewhere that according to Fraction, Hope is closly tied to Jean Grey and her ressurection somehow. He also said
that hope is someone that we should be keep our eyes on. Even so, I am very glad to see this Jean cameo, at least Marvel is acknowledging her now.

Naturally most mutants believed she was a symbol of new hope for the mutant race and a bunch of groups went after her, namely the X-Men, the Marauders, the Purifiers, and Predator X. Mutants clashed, Purifiers got slaughtered, and Predator X ate things. After all that happened, Cable adopted Hope as her little daughter and went off into the future together with some nut named Bishop out to kill her because he believes her to be the mutant Antichrist. Also she's not Jean Grey reborn. She thought the locket was just a pretty toy and the Phoenix symbols were actually the reflection of explosions caused by Cable's destruction of Cerebra. Matt Fraction also stated that Jean Grey was dead at a con last year which not only contradicted this, but he also attempted to shoot down the Mutant Zero and Skrull teases at the same time. |

Well ... I know what has happened with the mutant child up to now ... What I'm just saying if Marvel tries to say all these "hints" -- the
Phoenix-effect in the baby's eyes, the red hair/green eyes, the holding of the locket -- were just coincidence, there will be a lot of pissed fans. Then
again, that's nothing new. It's just weird that if Hope in fact DOES have something to do with Jean, Jean is still being shown in The White Hot Room
while Hope is in the middle of some lame "war" on Earth (in X-Force).

I have to say Jean Grey is my all time favorite comic book character ever, but latley Marvel has been making her life out to be like that show LOST(which I
love). All these weird things happening, all these unanswered questions, these teases, things just confusing the hell out of us. All I have to say is that in
the end, it all better come together and make some sense. But I'm still satying with my theory that Hope and 'Madelyne' are just missing Jean
pieces that need to be collected.

Phoenix76xxx wrote:That is one of the reasons why I loved this issue so much. We actually saw Jean and... it WASN'T a flashback. *gobsmacked The interaction between Jean and Emma was classic. Emma needed *little goody two-shoes* Jean's help to break free from her doppleganger's henchman. Love it. If Jean is able to have visitors now, that could mean that the time is getting nearer for her to break out. *Sidenote: Jean mentioned something about visions. Is it possible that this has something to do with Emma's affiliation with the Dark X-Men? If so, my respect for Matt's writing has gone up a notch, although I'm still rather cool towards his characterization of said individuals. Also, Wolverine revealing that he had a lock of Jean's hair and it was used in the storyline, makes it a little bit sweeter, yet.

first real apparition of Jean since years(phoenix endsong) in a regular tittle!!!!we have to celebrate...now it's acknowledged that jean is alive, even in
the white hot room and can have interaction with the marvel univers...It's a massive step to have jean fully back as regular caractere!!!seeing her in
those pages made me realise how much I missed her...and I love all jean and emma interactions, they work so well together...now lets just hope that we will not
have to wait another 5 years to see jean agin!

You are soo right perdid.I myself didn't realise how I've missed Jean in the pages of Uncanny until I've seen her there.May be its because this not one kind of a flashback or something like that, it's our real Jean. And for me it seems that this is not just a cameo,it's something more than that.I don't know what the writer are planning but day by day marvel is growing up my expectation about Jean's return. And now if she doesn't return, that will be like.. a slap in the face. One thing I'm not clear about (am I clear about anything???The story is getting so confusing anyway) is that how come Logan has a lock of Jean's hair.Did I miss something? And specially what the hell is maddie gonna do with it?Any opinion guys? And thanx a lot the scans white nightwing.
Here is a review of Uncanny xmen 511 from CBR. Nothing much though but if anyone is interested - http://www.comicbookresou...=user_review&id=1029 Oh and this is my 100th post and I myself can't just believe it.Is it really my 100th post???

Hey fuuin ekusu, Thank you for reading my entire post. I was wondering if anyone was gonna touch on any of that. Sounds like we're on the same page.
I thought the comic was totally great and the thing that just put the cherry on top was seeing the preview cover of the next issue again. |

Logan kept a lock of Jean's hair so he could remember her by. Logan uses his sense of smell a lot, so having something from a person like hair enables him
to smell them.
As for why Madelyne wants Jean's hair, it's really simple. Maddie is a psionic ghost. She has no body. She collected the sisterhood as a part of a plan to help her get her own body again. She wants to have her own body so she can be fully powered. By in X-Man, she used to share/drain power from Nate Grey, but he's dead now. Now she's using her own powers in conjunction with her sisterhood, but in order to be fully powered she needs her body. She said there's only been two bodies that were suitable for her consciousness (hers and Jean's). So then, hair is from your body and contains DNA. Spiral, as well know, runs the body shoppe and specializes in body alterations. She prepared Psylocke's corpse for the ritual in which they put Psylocke back in her original body and restored it to life. Even in X-Man, the captions referred to Maddie as a smouldering ember of the star spanning Phoenix force fanned to full flame by Nate's lonely desperation. So in other words, she is a Phoenix/Jean fragment. So Maddie is going to have Spiral make a new Jean Grey clone, and she will then transfer her consciousness. Then she will be fully powered, like in that image we see of Maddie on the cover of UXM 511. |

At this point Wolverine doesn't believe it's actually Betsy in her body though. It was phrased kind of ambigiously, but he stated that "that's not his teammate in there".

Then she will be fully powered, like in that image we see of Maddie on the cover of UXM 511. I don't get why you guys still think this is a tease. They have been saying that Jean will be coming back for a long time now and they are trading the X-Factor era Phoenix Rising storyline at the same time. Marvel usually trades older storylines that are similar to ones that come out to commemorate them (like Eternals when the new Eternals series was released, a trade paperback of MJ when she returns in August, Knights of Wundagore, a classic storyline involving Cthon at around the same time that Cthon returned in Mighty Avengers, the Storm and Illyana miniseries around the time X-Infernus began, God Loves, Man Kills around the same time as Messiah Complex, etc.). Psylocke hasn't done anything that would make the X-Men reel in 510, just a fight with Wolverine. They apparently got over her working for Sisterhood by the end of the issue; they won't be reeling in 512. Also, the Phoenix was seen leaving Rachel, who indicates that Jean is returning. It is unlikely that it would be heading anywhere else. In 511, Red Queen's plan will go astray and Jean will be back. If Jean wasn't supposed to be retrurning, why would Fraction have Maddie go after Jean's hair rather than her own, which would be simplier? Fravtion also promised that an old favorite would be resurrected in Sisterhood but Betsy was not resurrected and Maddie/Red Queen does not qualify as an old favorite.
