The only body that was destroyed before Jean's actual body, was the original body containing the Phoenix Force (well, at least, I don't remember Maddie's body being destroyed.... Even so, if her body was destroyed there would be no means of collecting her own hair, then, either. Or I don't think there is, anyways), wasn't it? And, so, if she was including that body among the numbers, there is also Jean's body and her own, too, which would mean that there are three bodies, instead of two.

Another note I wanted to bring up: Scott's locked box, have we found out what was inside it, yet? Because I am having serious doubts that it has anything
to do with what Scott implied it did, when he was trying to convince Emma not to open it, otherwise. It's interesting because Scott had a locked box and
now it's discovered that Wolverine has a lock of Jean's hair. Are these things connected, at all? (Meh. I'm probably just dreaming up
connections where I want them to be....)

I seem to recall a scene in the end of Inferno that depicted Jean holding Maddie's deceased body in her arms. Then the X-Men went to the X-Mansion to fight
Mr. Sinister and the story never again told us what happened to Maddie's body. However, many years later (our time), Cable visited her grave (could be an
empty one, though).
And although Scott's box could have some Jean/Phoenix relation (as it was her who taught him to create it), it is implied that he mostly uses it to hide X-Force from Emma. Just to help clarify some questions - I'm loving this thread and always read the site, and very excited about Jean in Uncanny 510!!!! |

i'm pretty sure it's maddie that will be "resurrected" next issue, since she's just a psychic ghost right now and needs a body. she will
probably then escape to menace x-men another day. if it was jean coming back, marvel would milk the event for more money. they wouldn't bring her back and
then devote future issues, as well as a separate mini and a couple one-shots, to an unrelated avengers crossover. it doesn't make business sense. when jean
comes back, they are going to make an event out of it and let you spot it from a mile away. the days of surprise deaths and resurrections are over.

Which means that Maddie couldn't get a lock of hair from her own body.... Shucks. That means that it is a possibility that they are talking about simply
cloning Jean's body....

Could Hope be Red Queen, is it possible for Hope to be an evil fraction of Jean/Phoenix, which is why Bishop wanted to kill her?
This is great news by the way. Loving the Jean cameo. Missed her so much. As soon as she's back, Ill be a regular at my local comic shop. ozzie |

And i love your take on that black box in Scotts mind fuun. What a plot that would be

I doubt Hope is the Red Queen, and who knows, Hope may be totally unrelated to Jean/Phoenix, just like Mutant Zero. But yes, Maddie's body was cremated in
X-Factor 40, that's why she tells the sisterhood her body was irrevocably destroyed. So she couldn't get hair from her own body (which is a clone of
Jean's anyway) So she needs a new body, so she took Jean's hair to create a new Jean Grey clone, and after this is does in UXM 511, she will return to
menace the X-Men another day. By the way, we see Psylocke on future covers, including Dark Avengers/X-Men Crossovers. They wouldn't bring Jean back just to
put her under the rug, not like that and not just before this crossover.

But didnt they said they will not bring back Maddie? so i doubt the possibility in that. What i am thinking is that Red Queen is actually Jean Grey and the
reason why Betsy sided with her is because she knows everything, or prolly now Emma does. hehehe what i am thinking is a long shot but hehe who knows ^_^

What if maddie creat a clone of Jean now and then marvel make her a regular character, tying to convince us Jean fans????

We have to remember that Jean's body was supposedly blown to smithereens inthe finale of Endsong.
Now, I am under the belief that Hope is Jean. Maddie COULD take the lock of hair and "grow" herself a new body and that STILL leaves us Hope 'becoming' Jean at some point. My only trouble with Hope being Jean is that Wolverine has been around Hope twice now (as an infant and as a child).... Wouldn't he recognize her scent as Jean if that's who she was? I am also confused as to what the black box is in Cyclops' mind. Emma indicated that he had NO thoughts of ANY redheads. Jean helped him create it. |

That box in Scott's head is were he keeps all his dirty little secrets from Emma like x-force and his psychic romp with Madelyne.

Who am I to say, but I don't think Jean's ultimate return will be anytime in the immediate future. I think, if she does return, it will be more linked
to Hope and the Messiah War. That is a trilogy of crossover (from what I've read) and will occur over the coming months.
But, it's interesting to note just how many versions, clones, and variations there are floating around the Marvel Universe. I think that's a testement to her popularity of her character and the mythos that surrounds her.
