Please, anyone who wants to get drugs can get them. The illegalization of prostitution? Oops, anyone who wants to buy sex can do that as well. Adultery and other things you may not like will always be with us. Irrelevant to the topic of if it is moral or ethical... There is one foolproof way of having a spouse that never cheats. Never get MARRIED! also irrelevant... And if someone really, and truly LOVED someone, then the fact that spouse cheated on them, while it might HURT them, wouldn't destroy them as they would be able to FORGIVE the cheater. Everyone has said something or done something to hurt someone's feelings ,and just as you would like to be forgiven for your transgressions, you should be able to forgive others. Anything less reveals a vile person full of HATE who is trying to cover up his/her hatred in a cloak of false morality! Its not about hate or forgiveness, but trust. Once that trust has been eroded it is very very very hard to repair, forgiveness or not. At least you seem to have accepted that adultery is a transgression against the bond of marriage.

Zed wrote: Well, everyone, I repeat, everyone has moral or ethical failings. If someone cheats on you, you can do two things. Work things out with the person, or leave the person. Either way, get OVER it. Or don't get over it as suffer away. Won't make any difference to the promiscuous person if you allow yourself to endlessly suffer, as they will continue to do whatever they want and there's nothing that can be done to stop them. I'm looking at all the wealthy and powerful men like Donald Trump who go through wives the way other people go through socks or underwear. That has always been the nature of marriage, the powerful man in authority will ultimately get away with what he wants, whether he's the CEO (Trump) or whether he's the President (Clinton). That's the true nature of marriage, the subordination of a woman to a powerful man. Often marriage is nothing more than legalized prostitution, with the man as the "provider" of money while the woman is the provider of sex and household cleaning services. Granted, a lot of women work today so this isn't the case so much now, but the original institution of marriage was just like that. The woman had to submit to her husband/master, who in the end controlled everything including the finances. So yeah, whether people cheat or not doesn't bother me, the very institution itself has some nasty things attached to it, and people are acting like it's some pure holy deal. Not!
